Blank Space

As indicated, controls in a layout are positioned in grid-like structure: in rows and columns. In some scenarios you want to change the positioning of elements in two adjacent columns. In those cases you would use the blank space control.

Configuring the blank space control

To add a blank space to your layout follow these steps:

1. From the Generic controls list in the left, drag the Blank Space control onto the layout and drop it in the desired location.
2. The properties pane will automatically open.
3. Under Height you can enter the number of positions the blank space should fill. The number equals the number of controls in a vertical list.
